What is your primary product or service?
Printing and all the services related to it. Graphic Design, Blueprinting, Mailing, Newsletters, etc.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The business is a family business descended from NY Blueprint Corp, started in 1929.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We offer very complete "conception to delivery" services. Other printers in our area may do copies or offset, but none offers mailing lists, direct mail, Ivy League educated designers and consultants, and a broad range of products from laser and one-color printing to full color, UV coated products.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have two locations (our second is at 33 North Mall in Plainview, NY 11803), and are planning to open new ones soon in Eastern Long Island and Mineola. We currently do work for customers from New York City to the Hamptons, so we already cover a very broad area, mostly on Long Island, and specifically on the North Shore.
Provide detailed directions to your location
Sea Cliff: From 495 (the Long Island Expressway), take either 107 or Glen Cove Road North. Turn left on Glen Head Road. Turn right on Glen Cove Avenue. We are 1/2 mile north of the turn, next door to Dunkin' Donuts. Plainview: 495 (L.I.E.) exit 48 South is Round Swamp Road. Continue onto Old Country Road, through 1 traffic light. At the next light (Newtown Road) turn right. We are in building 4 on the left (North Mall). Just look for the sign.
What type of payments do you accept?
Cash, Check, AmEx, Mastercard, Visa. Frequent customers may open house accounts and be billed monthly.
Which areas do you service?
All of Long Island via car, or the rest of the US by mail. We often ship blueprints throughout the tri-state area, but work proficiently through FTP, email and our website, Printstars.com.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Steven Lohrius is the President of the company.
What are your hours of operation?
8 am - 5 pm weekdays.
