The Institute for Schools of the Future (ISOF) is a not-for-profit organization chartered by the Board of Regents of the State University of New York, for and on behalf of the State Department of Education in 1983. It is dedicated to improving the quality of education through reconceptualizing the definition of schooling and knowledge and learning and teaching through the promotion and use of new and emerging technologies. New teaching methods and materials are developed in a variety of subject areas, however, the main work focuses on mathematics, science and technology.
