Appraisal Services Associates provides forensic fine art and antique appraisals. Our fine art and antique appraisers value individual properties as well as large collections (50,000+). Besides fine art and antique, we value photography, decorative arts, collectibles, residential and office contents since 1984. The appraisals are provided to assist the collector, attorney, accountant, fiduciary, insurance company and claimants in routine filings as well as in litigation and dispute resolution. We also provide tax appraisals based on rental rates, fractional gifts and for fractional ownership discounts when allowed. We also assist in providing blockage discount appraisals for artist's estates and large collections. We listen very carefully to the needs of our clients, providing a scope of work that can range from a simple consultation to an inspection, summary report, self contained report and testimony. Extensive experience in expert witnessing results in great success equally for both plaintiffs as well as defendents. Frequently both sides stipulate to our reports. Trained professionals combine their academic and art historical backgrounds with extensive knowledge of markets to ensure the greatest accuracy. All reports exceed all professional standards including Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, The Principals of Practice and Code of Ethics of the American Society of Appraisers and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Charles T. Rosoff, ASA, MRICS is the president of Appraisal Services Associates, a firm of appraisers that provide forensic valuations of Fine Art, Antiques, Decorative Arts, Residential and Office contents. He has been appraising since 1984, is an Accredited Senior Appraiser designated by the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, is a past President of the New York Chapter of the ASA, was the Legal Issues Editor of the Personal Property Journal of the ASA, was on the faculty of the American Law Institute, American Bar Association (ALI-ABA) Post-Mortem Planning and Estate Administration, participated at the Association of the Bar of the City of New York program Divorce in New York in the 21st Century, teaches Personal Property Valuation—The Legal and Commercial Environment for the ASA at various universities, taught Appraisal Research Methods at New York University, and has testified as an expert witness numerous times in multiple jurisdictions. Mr. Rosoff is currently an editor of the annual supplements to Valuation Strategies in Divorce and Valuing Specific Assets in Divorce. Mr. Rosoff has a B.A. degree in History of Art from the University of Michigan, completed the one year training program at Sotheby's London, completed the Certificate program in Appraisal Studies at New York University, completed all the courses in appraisal practice given by the American Society of Appraisers, attended courses in the graduate program in the History of Decorative Arts from the Cooper Hewitt Museum and has worked for Christie's New York
